Our meetings continue to find creative ways to share the silence during lockdown. This group normally meets in a care home.
The first contact writes:
Since the lockdown, and being unable to meet together every Friday afternoon, the Bexhill group have been using the time of 2.30pm on a Friday to sit quietly in their own homes/gardens and having their own ‘Julian quiet time’. We have been keeping in touch regularly by phone, text and e-mail, and are praying for each other and thinking of each other on a Friday afternoon. I have even been contacted in the last week or two by more people wanting to join the Bexhill JM!
I have attached a document for this Friday’s Julian Prayer quiet time. (Note this was for Friday 8th May as your website editor has been very dilatory) I am e-mailing this to all the people who have attended our Julian Group, and for those not on e-mail I am printing it out and posting it to them, so that we can all follow along the prayers, readings etc at the same time. It is themed around Julian of Norwich as this Friday celebrates the day that Julian received her revelations or ‘showings’ in 1373 (but of course you all know that!)
